In 2010, while Nada was contemplating names for her unborn baby girl, one of three names she fell in love with was ‘AYA’. She felt that the collection had to reflect the qualities she desired in her unborn child: exceptional, spiritual, and beautiful. ‘Aya’ was created with the meaning of its name at its heart; for in the Arabic language, ‘Aya’ means both prodigy and verse or spiritual, and is commonly used alongside the word ‘beauty’.
The word ‘AYA’ is a mirrored palindrome, which reads the same backwards and forwards and is absolutely symmetrical if cut in the middle axis not only as a word but also as stand-alone letters. It also stands tall; and the letters that form the word and the word itself are perfect design-wise. The ‘Aya’ collection comes in rings, earrings, necklaces in 18k yellow, white and pink gold.
